The QCIF High Performance Computing facility is the major general research HPC facility within Queensland, It supports the research programs of The University of Queensland and its QcIF partners.
Usage is granted by QCIF based on a project merit application scheme to researchers at the University of Queensland and those from other QCIF member Universities.
The QCIF HPC facility currently consists of 3 SGI Altix parallel computer systems providing a total of 144 Intel Itanuim2 CPUs, plus 220 TB of Data Storage capacity.

A range of software applications are licensed to support the client research activities. Several HPC applications are site licensed and available for research activity on UQ campus workstations. |
